Immerse yourself in the sensual world of Tango dance, inspired by the vibrant rhythms of African drums, the forgotten element in the origins of Argentine Tango. Together, we will dance and explore the heart and soul of Argentine Tango and its hidden rhythms.
The workshops consist of a two-hour class (one hour of technique and one hour of free experimentation). Open to participants with or without a dance partner. Andrés Sautel, along with his dance partner and two professional percussionists playing original Afro-Argentinian rhythms, share their knowledge and guide participants to provide a unique and enriching Tango dance experience.
The workshops are not intended for historical or documentary revisionism. They are based on rhythms that have been essential for the development of Tango music in order to, through the use of different rhythmic combinations, enhance the quality of the dance for experienced dancers or initiate those who have not yet taken their first steps.
* Please note that our one-hour workshops only include the technical part of the class, without the second hour of free experimentation.
